| Highly valuing and summarizing historical experience is the Communist Party of China,s one major characteristic and superiority,and it is also the guarantee which the Party unceasingly gains the victory when leading the revolution,construction and reform in China. Both Mao zedong and Deng xiaoping are the shining example of summing up historical experience. The Party,s third generation of collective leadership who take Jiangzemin as the core inherited the glorious tradition of summing up the historical experience and proposed"Three Represents",promoted innovation of theory and practice,impels the process of Chinese characteristic socialist modernization.This paper is divided four parts:the first part mainly expands on general sense on the role of summing up experiences as well as the Communist Party of China,s understanding of the experience in history,moreover simply discusses the party's first generation collective leadership and the second generation of collective leadership which continually win victory by summing up experiences in leading the revolution and construction. The second part is divided three stage to comb the process of the Party,s third generation of collective leadership who take Jiang zemin as the core summarizing historical experience. On this basis the author analyzes the characteristics of each stage. The third part summarizes the basic methods of the Party,s third generation of collective leadership who take Jiangzemin as the core summing up the historical experience.,into summing up the historical experience and the experience of reality,summing up country experience and the experience of running the party,summed up the positive experience and negative experience,summed up the domestic experience and the experience of foreign countries. The last part Discusses the great significance of the Party,s third generation of collective leadership who take Jiang zemin as the core summing up the historical experience.
