Since the practice of the villager's self-governance, the central and the local authorities have made great efforts on the democratic election, guiding it into the ordering course. Relatively, not enough attention has been paid on democratic supervision. Because of this, I, majoring in sociology, try my best to compare and analyze the enforcement of democratic supervision in length and breadth by the case study of a county in the middle of Fujian Province in the light of theory of mutual relation between the state and the society. By studying of the desire and action of the participation of the related social actors--including the ordinary villagers, the association of the old, the committee of the village, the town and the authorities above the county--during participating democratic supervision in the course of village governance, I unfold the picture of the logic of the related social action and then raise some countermeasures on how to carry democratic supervision forward.
