On The Overcoming Of Formalism Of Ideological Political Work

Ideological political work is one of our party's fine tradition and political superiority. It has played the vital role in the history of Chinese revolution and socialism construction. It has been emphasizing that combating formalism and stressing the actual effect of the political thought work. Practice has made it to us that the party's ideological political works certain to arouse people's enthusiasm to work and further the reform if the principle of seek-truth- from-facts is applied. If, however, formalism is going on, the party's policies and lines can not be properly carried out, and the party image and social morals will be affected.The paper believes that in order to party's political thought work, we have to see clearly the nature and harmfulness of formalism, and find measures efficient in overcoming formalism. The paper has four parts as follows.First: After the harmfulness of formalism in the political thought, inheriting the tradition, its new problems, the author expounds the necessity and signi- ficance of overcoming formalism and strengthening ideological political work in today's situation.Second: According to the fact, having listed the major forms of the formalism existing in political thought work.Third: The author attributes the ideological source, the social source, the history source of formalism in the ideological political work.Last: The paper concludes that effective measures against formalism are the followings: follows the mass line, stick to the principle of seek-truth-from-facts, display the ideological political work scientifically, improve the system of evaluation and supervision, etc.
