Volunteer service started later in our country. With this activitygradually developing, it has obstructed the activity's developmentwhich the research of the concerning theories falls behind it.It has multiple functions to research the ideological and politicsof the volunteer service. On one hand, it is the demand that brightensthe volunteer service business; on the other hand, it can complete theresearch of political education function of Volunteer service. Inaddition, the volunteer service has important realistic meaning forbuilding the harmonious socialism society.This paper is divided into four parts, including the introduction of voluntary services outlined, voluntary service function of the ideological and political education, voluntary service of ideological and political education function and the problems that exist in the realization of functions.
