General speaking, the rise of international immigration has a very close tie with the economic gaps among different areas. In order to pursue a better life, the people in the backward areas always emigrate to the advanced ones. However, that is not to say that, if only the gaps exist, the activity of immigration will happen. The situations of society, politics, economy, culture and technology in the two areas all have a great influence on the proceeding of immigration, sometimes the influence is positive, sometimes it is negative. This thesis will take the Asia-Pacific immigration for example to analyze geopolitical factors' role in both promoting and hampering Asia-Pacific immigration.
