The Republicanism which as the ancient and the outstanding political tradition, since Ancient Greece have passed on. Although after the Middle Ages to the decline, as the 20th century revival of the 50's trend of Republicanism rise and now the West has become academic in one of the most spectacular phenomena. Harrington as a 17th century revival of classical republicanism on behalf of one of the many naturally attracted attention once again. Republicanism of his freedom of thought not only to the capitalist countries in Europe and the United States political system and constitutional design of the building had a major impact, but also to China's rule of law system in the technology have a significant reference level, at the same time the idea of combining traditional Chinese elite, I believe more good to promote the rule of law in the process of building our country.This article object of study is Harrington's republicanism freedom ideal, to Harrington's "The Commonwealth of Ocean " for the study of texts, from the classical republican tradition, classical republicanism, as well as the theory and practice of modern political theory and by Harrington Department against the backdrop of the times, by trying to interpret the text in detail Harrington's Freedom of republicanism, and finally a whole to give an evaluation of Harrington.In specific research methods, this paper uses chiefly literature analysis, historical analysis and comparison study analysis.
