The Continuity And Alteration Of EU's China Policy After The Cold War

EU-China diplomatic relations have developed rapidly in the past years.The EU has issued some new policies on China every several years,and China has also issued a policy paper towards EU in response.In this paper,the author will analyze the continuity and alteration of European Union's policies towards China.The "change" is to meet the needs of national interests.We can search starting point between the "change" and the "unchanged" and forecast the general Chinese attitude and policy.In this paper,the author will use historical analysis,comparative analysis,case studies and other research methods.China and the EU as a whole is the main object of the study. Mainly from the perspective of the European Union,in-depth analysis of the post-Cold War,especially after 1995,the author will analyze the change of the policies of EU to China.Which policies and principles will the EU will not change? And what is the European Union willing to change.Interdependence between China and the EU is the general trend of growing,but variables run through the development process. EU-China relations run form the honeymoon period to the regulation.Therefore,it is really significant for both sides to make efforts to narrow their differences and widen the commonalities.
