The Chinese Communists' Historical Evolution Of The Outlook On Development Since The Establishment Of P.R. China

Developing is the eternal theme of human society as well as the value of socialism. Moreover, it is the main trend of contemporary China. In the tide of economic globalization and society informationization , the fierce competition between different countries and social system is caused by the issue of development. As a developing socialist country, China's future fate depends on how to solve the issue of development. As a guiding philosophy, the outlook on development is both epistemology and methodology, which will have a fundamental and overall influence on the development of the whole society.Since the establishment of P. R. China, generations of Chinese Communists represented by Mao Zedong, Deng Xiaoping, Jiang Zemin and Hu Jintao persist in integrate the basic Marxism theories with Chinese conditions, explore unremittingly on the law of development of Chinese economics and society, raise different theories of development, and form the outlook on development that is in the same line and keeps up with the times. The Scientific Outlook on Development is the most advanced theory of development that inherits and develops the important thoughts of the Party's three generations of central collective leadership and is the fruit of Chinese Communists'unremitting search for scientific development.The Chinese Communists'Evolution of the Outlook on Development since the Establishment of P. R. China is an irrefutable proof of the deepening of the understanding of the modernism construction. Besides, it also marks that the CPC constantly makes progress in the develop theory. Studying on the evolution has great theoretical and practical significance. Firstly, it helps to have a thorough understanding of the spiritual essence of development by different generations of Chinese Communists represented by Mao Zedong, Deng Xiaoping, Jiang Zemin and Hu Jintao. Besides, it displays a course of history of outlook on development that conformed to the different time. Secondly, it helps to deepen our understanding of the Scientific Outlook on Development, its relationship with the development theories of the other three generations of Chinese Communists, and to thoroughly apply the Scientific Outlook on Development. Thirdly, it helps to elevate the developing ability of CPC, appropriately deal with various risk and challenge that China might encounter with in the pivotal period of economic and society development and realize the harmonious development of contemporary China.On the base of plentiful materials and research achievements, this thesis adopts comparative approach and historic approach, systemizes the different outlook on development by different generations of CPC leader group, analyzes the main content and development of each outlook on development, and gives some inspiration on how to apply and develop the Scientific Outlook on Development.The whole thesis is divided into five parts:The first part mainly focuses on the outlook on development with Mao Zedong as their chief representative of the Chinese communists'. In the exploration of China's development, Mao Zedong left both successful experiences and failure lessons. He proposed to construct a powerful and modern socialism Country and then made the"two-step"development strategy giving priority to the development of heavy industry for achieving the goal, which are valuable development thoughts to us. However his theory of putting forward the"revolution"as the main theme made a major setback. These experiences and lessons made the foundation of forming and developing of outlook on development of Communist Party of China.The second part mainly focuses on the outlook on development with Deng Xiaoping as their chief representative of the Chinese communists'. In the practice of exploring the development path of Chinese socialism, Deng Xiaoping advanced the"Development is the last word", the well-known thesis. He proposed to build a prosperous, democratic, and civilized modern socialist Country. Emphasizing the power of reformation and open mind, taking economic construction as the center and according to the basic national conditions of our Country, Deng Xiaoping made a "three-step" development strategy, which formed a more systematic development theory of the Communist Party of China. The third part is mainly focuses on the outlook on development with Jiang Zemin as their chief representative of the Chinese communists'. Jiang Zemin inherited Deng Xiaoping's idea of development. He proposed a scientific thesis—"Development is the top priority in governing and rejuvenating the party". Aiming to achieve the comprehensive development of economic and society and the people, Deng Xiaoping made a series development strategies, such as"the power of innovation";"develop the country through science and education";"sustainable development"and"large-scale development of western economy", which further deepened and expanded the outlook on development of the Chinese Communist Party.The fourth part is mainly focuses on the outlook on development with Hu Jintao as the chief representative of Chinese communists'. Hu Jintao inherited the development ideas of Mao Zedong, Deng Xiaoping, Jiang Zemin and put forward the scientific outlook on development. In order to build a harmonious socialist society, the scientific outlook on development insisted on people-oriented, comprehensive, coordinated and sustainable development, achieving economic development better and fast and so on. It further deepened our party's understanding of the law of socialist modernization construction. It is the latest development theory of today.The fifth part, concluding Chinese communists'evolution process of development and experiences since the establishment of new China, on the basis of how we today establish and implement the scientific outlook on development to guide the future scientific development of our country, the author raised a number of useful implications from the different aspects: put development as the subject of Chinese Marxism; guide the development of contemporary China with the developing Marxism; make development according to contemporary reality of China and the world; explore the patterns of development continuously; improve the leadership of Communist Party of China on development continuously.
