Studies On Nuozhadu Reservoir Area Migration Project And Community Integration

Nuozhadu Power Station is a major national strategic hydropower project, which is the important base and backbone of the project Yunnan electricity power to send east eare. The large implementation migration in Nuozhadu has played a certain role in the solution of the production and life about the indigenous inhabitants lived in reservoir area, the safety of the reservoir area, regional economic development. However, the objective is also to force immigrants to leave the original place of residence, to abandon the production of the original way of life, to be destructed the existing production systems, to be changed the community structure, to be weakened community relations. Rebuilding community is just the starting of Resettlement and community development. Immigrant groups will face to the important and pressing issue that is community integrationCommunity has always been a traditional studies in sociology, immigration is a way of dramatic social change in recent years which is concerned by sociologist, as the common ground, community study of immigrants in the reservoir area should be concerned, with the carry out of the Sarnia Power Station and such as the implementation of a series major projects, the research of immigrant groups have become concerned increasly, however, taking an overview of existing research on the integration of immigrant communities in the reservoir area and the adaptability of multi-ethnic groups in particular, the migration and resettlement of small communities study.In this study, Bomuqing village, Pu'er City, Yunnan Province, the as an example, which detailed described the transition taken place in the structure of immigrant groups in the community, community norms and culture, community relations and networks, community participation, community economic and life areas and so on in Nuozhadu hydropower projects area, the trend of seeking to integrate, and analyze the process of community integration in the face of difficulties and problems and made a think in recommendations and response, in fact, the purpose of community resettlement and reconstruction is community`s coordinated development and healthy run. The paper based on the summary of the community integration of the case and reflection on practice, have a trying to explore in more immigrant communities conflict the mechanisms and integration strategy in the reservoir area.
