This essay is a substantial evidence research with P Street community of TianXin district in ChangSha city as example ,based on the documents observed by literature research,questionnaires as well as interviews, and then from the perception of the demand theory of Maslow and the theory of social exchange. Comprehensively use of the qualitative research and quantitative research methods to discuss the individual acts of charity donations as well as their motives and characteristics. At the same time, according to the findings of analysis to discuss the difficulties of the community residents' charitable donations, and then propose recommendations. This essay is divided into four parts:The first part explicates the backgrounds of this research, recalls the related research condition, and elaborates contents and methods of this research, also the basic situation of survey site and survey object. The second part describes the current status of the individual charitable donations, analyzes the motivation and behavior of the individual charitable donations, as well as the characteristics of behavior. The third part analyses the factors to Influence the individual charitable donations from the aspects of the donor's own personal factors,external social environment,the development of charitable organizations,the laws and regulations of the government. From the problems of the survey and the exist problems of the individual charitable donations, the forth part mainly discusses how to build a harmonious society with caring and friendly where everyone takes part in the charitable donation.The study finds that: Sound laws and regulations and trustworthy charitable organizations will raise the awareness of people's participation in charitable donations. People's incomes and education levels will affect the amount of donation. The amount was being related to the donor's income the higher the relatively large amount of donations. The amount of donor donation will be increased with the higher the educational level However, this correlation is not great, and this is that a charitable donation will allow anyone to participate in the act, regardless of their level of economic, educational level is high or low, as long as everyone has a love everyone To help other people, that can be the building of spiritual civilization and harmonious society building blocks.
