The last century since the 90's, political environment in Western Europe have experienced drastic changes, and also the political party system and political structure. As the rapid changes of political environment, the Social Democratic parties in Western Europe adjust the traditional ideology to cope with the emerging challenges and crisis. Owing to the trend of adjustment, the Western European Social Democratic Party finally has the opportunity to regain the power. This adjustment is the process of modernization, to downplay the blockage of traditional ideology, to accept the neo-liberal elements and take the middle way of pragmatism process. At the same time, this adjustment means that the Social Democratic Party is away from the characteristics of the traditional ideology. The British Labor Party's "Third Way" which means that beyond the left and right, go beyond a social democracy and neo-liberalism of the modernization of the road, is in the forefront of other Western European Social Democratic Parties . However, when the Western European Social Democratic Party obtain the electoral goals ,to what extent of the departure from the traditional political and ideological stance? Whether the Labor Party can be seen as a successful modern left-wing parties? The article used Party Manifesto Data to count the election manifestoes of Labor Party in thirteen years, come to the conclusion that Labor Party still maintains the traditional center-left character , belongs to left-wing party. In addition, the article discusses the question that whether the Labor Party can be represented a modern left-wing parties .From the first part of the article , Western European Social Democratic Parties are center-left political parties. Ideology represents a political party's identity, the Social Democratic Party stand for the Democratic Socialist identity. Democratic Socialist initially had experienced left-wing radical stage, and then to a modified, moderate center-left ideology. From the second part, political parties in Western Europe especially the Social Democratic Party are facing to the great pressure because of changes of the environment.. In response, the Social Democratic Party actively pursued the adjustment or innovation of ideology, finally at the late 90's ushered in the revival of democratic socialism. The third part is the core part of the article.The article used Party Manifesto Data to count the election manifestoes of Labor Party in thirteen years. First of all the article introduces the Comparative Manifestos Project,and then count the election manifesto of Labor Party. Each the manifesto come to a conclusion by counting the data. Finally come to conclusion that the Labor Party still in the leftist and identity changes are slowing down. By the groundwork of the first three part, The fourth part draw two conclusions: First, adjustment of the SPD does not deny the ideological left-right division of political in Western Europe and the divide will continue; Second, the Labor Party to some extent represents a modern left-wing political parties, or at least a alternative.
