Comparative Study On Endowment Model Between Urban And Rural Areas In China

As China entered the aging society and the super aged society, the supporting problem has drawn greater attention.There are significant differences between urban and rural areas on endowment model.What aspects are these differences mainly embodied in? What are these differences caused by? How to narrow the gap of endowment model and realize urban-rural integration? These are the main contents of this paper.This paper summarizes the formation and development of urban and rural endowment model,and finds out problems faced by urban and rural areas.It analyzes the differences between urban and rural endowment model in the aspect of source of income, living conditions, daily care, spiritual comfort and institutional pension by using data, and makes the following conclusions:in the aspect of source of income,daily care and spiritual comfort, urban are better than rural.Especially in the aspect of source of income, the difference between urban-rural social security for aged makes socialization level of urban elderly better than rural.Therefore, the Government needs to speed up the rural social security system for aged.As for living conditions, urban or rural,most of the elderly live with their children. The traditional living model is still dominant. This paper puts forward the trend of urban and rural endowment model.The trend of endowment model in China is urban-rural integration.And also the paper proposed a multi-faceted approach to solve the pension problem.The ways suggested in this paper are family supporting, endowment institution, community service pension, housing to provide for aged, housing endowment "mortgage back" and tourism pension.
