Along with the constantly deepening process of urbanization, a large number of the new generation of migrant workers poured into the cities. The No.1 document of central committee announced that we should focus on resolving the problems of the new generation of migrant workers. The item "new generation of migrant workers" first appeared in the document of Communist Party of China., indicating the central committee's serious concerns about the post-80s and post-90s new generations of migrant workers who accounted for 60% of the total number of migrant workers. The construction of social supporting network of the new generation of migrant workers is bound to be the focus of the process of their social integration and citizenization under the context of balancing urban and rural development. This paper mainly aims to study the social supporting networks of 182 new generations of migrant workers in Chongqing. Several research methods such as literature, questionnaire and individual interview are employed to collect relevant information and data. In this paper, the general characters of emotional supporting net, material supporting net and employment supporting net of the new generation of migrant workers are discussed. Furthermore, the size, similarities and differences as well as the relationships of these nets are analyzed. In general, supporting nets of the new generation of migrant workers are small with high homogeneity and low heterogeneity. Specific conclusions are as follows:I:The scale of the emotional supporting network, material supporting network and employment supporting network of the new generation of migrant workers are 3.51,3.22, and 3.12, respectively. The homogeneity of the supporting networks is high, and heterogeneity is relatively low. The relationship ties of the networks of the new generation of migrant workers are with characteristics of both traditional society and modern society, mainly dominated by blood-relationship and geo-relationship. In addition, friend-relationship and work-relationship play an important role in it.â…¡:The inclination of intergroup selection in the social supporting networks of the new generation of migrant workers is very obvious. The social supporting networks of them have gradually changed from closed type to semi-opened type; their relationship radius is getting bigger and bigger. But the ascribed system is incomparably better than epigenetic system. The intergroup identity tends to be involution, and group structure (coterie) is quite common.â…¢:Blood-relationship and geo-relationship are still the main ties in social supporting systems of the new generation of migrant workers. However, improving the scale of their social supporting networks lies in the construction of friend-relationship and work-relationship. Before entering the city, their contacting members are mainly from family, taking feeling as communicating foundation; but the special life situation (the new generations of migrant workers are far away from home) makes their friend-relationship and work-relationship more important, and their communication is more and more rational, emphasizing more on possessing and accumulating social resource.
