The Status Quo Of The On-line Political Participation And Its Double Affect

With the development of information technology, the Internet as a new medium is fleeting into every aspect of modern society in an unprecedented way. At the same time, it brings a new form of political participation, the network of political participation. From the positive side, this new form promotes political culture, civic democracy, and the development of the ruling party. However, it must be recognized that the virtual world can not replace the real world. The network of political participation is not a panacea, it might cause disorders, reduce national cohesion and stability.The on-line political participation is gradually penetrated into more areas, and generating greater attention. On one hand, the ruling party and the government should keep in state of calm; embrace the double effects of the network, as well as to the opportunities and challenges.
