With the rapid growing of the offshore petroleum and gas development activities in China, the legislation on the protection of offshore petroleum and gas pipelines is on the agenda of the Chinese government. This paper centers on the legislation issues of China's protection on the offshore petroleum and gas pipelines, summarizing the basic situation and the protection status-quo of China's offshore petroleum and gas pipelines, studying on the legislation on the protection of offshore petroleum and gas home and abroad, on which basis the writer propose the key legislation issues of China's protection of the offshore petroleum and gas pipelines and put forward the jurisdiction clauses on these issues.
