The Contemporary Western From Of The History Of Civilizational Morphology

Samuel P.Huntington is a famous scholar in the field of national politics research.His particular optic angle to research the history of mankind and the trend ofglobalization currently is culture and civilization,and it is unquestionable that histheory is a style of particular interpretation of history.His theory about the clash ofcivilization is wildly concerned and it has provoked the new research and discussionin different optic angle and field.This thesis will systematical expound Huntington'stheory in the angle of philosophy of history and examine its success and failure,its advantages and disadvantages all-sided in the research of history of mankind and the trend of globalization currently. At last,we will summarize its use for reference.This thesis is mainly composed of four parts to analyze and evaluate Huntington's theory as following:The aim of the first part is mainly to introduce the history of the History of Civilzational Morphology. The History of Civilzational Morphology, deeply criticized the"scientific"history of 19th century and give an important influence to historyof 20th century,it includes foursides:from the viewof linear time to multitime,from region to whole,fromthe obvious Europeanism to unclear Europeanism,from disenchantment to reenchantment.Second part aims at expounding Huntington's interpretation of history of the clash of civilization.This part will detailedly introduce this theory in three parts according to the logical venation of this theory's development.The first part is thatHuntington consider that the history of the mankind is the history of the civilization;the second part is that Huntington give prominence to the language and religion in theclash of civilization;the third part is that Huntington think the essential of the global social conflict is the clash of civilization.The third part will introduce the view of civilization of Spengler and Toynbee and Huntington.The last part will introduce the evaluation of Huntington's theory.
