Nowadays, the research about the relationship between American Jewish community and American foreign policy is more popular. Some scholar like Mearshimer holds the view that the activities of American Jewish Interest Groups have been harmful to American interests.I choose AIPAC——the most powerful American Jewish community as my key topic. In the paper I analyze AIPAC in detail. I date from the history of AIPAC, explain AIPAC's structure and agenda, analyze AIPAC's activities. The purpose is to find how American Jewish Interest Groups affect American foreign policy, and in what degree have the Jewish Interest Groups affected American foreign policy. I also describe the pro-Israeli activities of AIPAC as an added case study during Clinton's Administration. In the paper, I think AIPAC and other pro-Israeli communities are devoted to protecting the survival of Israel and the U.S.-Israeli relationship. Due to their strong economic, political and cultural power, they have affected American foreign policy efficiently especially in the U.S.-Israeli relationship. The Jewish Interest Groups play an important part in American foreign policy, but because of American interests,American foreign policy system and the development of the pro-Arabia communities, it is impossible for them to determine American foreign policy.
