This article is a theoretical result which concluded from the projection of a feminist participation that author took part in several months ago. The paper maintain that regulations worked as a form of self-governing do take specific effect in rural area. The rules and regulations not only contain legislations but also constitute of Chinese conventional patriarchal culture. This thesis means to clarify the role of gender empowerment in rural area in the process of reforming by the way of analyzing the implementation of those regulations are characteristic of gender perspective.This article is divided into following sections:The introductive part of the paper summarizes the background and the current study of the topic, signifies the methods used in this paper and author's research trail and defines relevant concepts. The second part consists of Chapters I and II, it analyzes the relationship between transforming regulations in village and achieving equality between genders which start form the perspective of social gender theory and patriarchal theory. Then, we will introduce the production activities and the live hood in Zhoushan town and point out the reasons why we choose it as the tentative village that performs the amendment of regulations. In the third part, the paper investigates the process of amendment by combining the social gender theory and the theory of empowerment to our study. The fourth part includes chapters IV and V. it shows the demonstrative effects and it's popularize values of this transformation, points out the obstacles will meet with when proceeded and the experiential enlightenment for our practice. The last part is the conclusion of the paper and it will provide us some suggestions for future research.
