The women's employment situation and social status are not immutable in the United States. The women continue to leave their homes and work outside since the early 20th century.Their employment situation and social status changed in every historical period. In particular, due to the socio-economic and political factors after World War II, the employment situation of women in the United States had a dramatic change, which will be briefly discussed and analyzed from four areas, such as different ages, different races, different levels of education, different class. The women's economic independence has a significant impact on women's economic status, political status, educational status and family status. Although there are still some problems to solve in social justice and equality in employment, the American women have made a great progress in the social status.
