Study On The Political Compromise Of Swedish Social Democratic Party In 20th Century

The Swedish Social Democratic Party (SSDP) was founded in 1889, which was the leader of Swedish parties since it realigned with the Liberal Party in 1917. The SSDP has administrated the Sweden over 60 years. During its administration, the SSDP has made huge progress in theory and practice, especially its political compromise and Swedish Model, which make it a miracle in the contemporary world socialist movement. In the process of Swedish modernization, the SSDP plays a key role. To some extent, it is the SSDP that promotes the Swedish political, economical and social grate development. We can say that, without the SSDP, it is impossible for Sweden to become one of the most developed countries in the world. As an old party, the SSDP has experienced the rise and fall in its political career several times. So its theories and policies, in particular, its political compromise, were worthy of studying carefully for us.Based on the previous study, the author is guided by Marxist dialectical materialism and Marxist historical materialism and used the inter-discipline methods and theories of comprehensive history and sociology. Takes the political compromise of SSDP as the object, the paper begins with reviewing the development of the political compromise of SSDP and then analyses this policy used of the historical analysis methods. Further the paper makes an objective historical evaluation to the political compromise of SSDP.The introduction is the beginning part of this paper, which discussed the significance of the title, the current study situation both at home and abroad, the idea and framework, and the research methods. That follows the text, divided into five parts altogether.The first part is the historical evolution of political compromise in Sweden. This part gives an overview of the development of political compromise in Sweden. By reference to the history, it summarizes the perfect process of political compromise in Sweden.The second part is the measure analysis of the SSDP's political compromise. It first introduces the compromise between the SSDP and other parties, then analyses the compromise between the SSDP and interest groups and points out the compromise between the labor and the capitalist led by the SSDP. This part concludes that the SSDP's political compromise really promoted the Swedish political, economical and social grate development.The third part is the reason of implementing political compromise. This section demonstrates the reason of implementing political compromise from four aspects, such as geopolitical, nationality, the interests of the state and international factors.The fourth part is the double effect of the SSDP's political compromise. This part approves the deep penetration of the SSDP's political compromise, at the same time, the author analyses the double influences of the political compromise dialectically. At the end, it concludes that the SSDP's political compromise is a double-edged sword.The fifth part is the political compromise's enlightenment. This section generalizes that we should absorb experiences and lessons of the SSDP's political compromise partly.
