As our country's rapid economic development and urbanization accelerating, the demand for land is also more and more. Rural land expropriation is a natural phenomenon. And based on the experience of countries around the world, rural land expropriation is also a necessary step. The rural areas and farmers must be compensated. In the process of the expropriation and compensation, the village committee as the rural grass-roots mass self-organization plays an important role. As the legal system of rural land is not perfect, the village committee had a lot of illegal behaviors in dealing with land compensation issues.In this paper, the writer put forward the problems of the village committee in the process of dispensing land compensation from two cases, and a thorough analysis of the problem, put forward some measures. This paper has three parts:Partâ… :Case, the focuses of controversy and raised questions. This section describes two cases and the courts'judgment, points out the existence of the controversial issues of such cases by analyzing these two cases. First, the plaintiff is or not a member of the village collective organization. Second, the village committee's status in the distribution of land compensation. Third, the effectiveness of the village committee's "collective discussion" about the distribution of land compensation.
