The Research Of The Citizen Satisfaction Of Shanghai Police Portal

With the rapid growth of information technology and increasing popularity of Internet, E-Government has become the important means of modern government management. The implementation E-Government accelerates the process of functions transformation, improves working efficiency, increases government transparency, at the same time provides the public with better services and acceptance of supervision. The E-Government portal serves as an essential bridge and direct platform for the government to communicate with its public and provides a service window for administration. Being one of the most important function departments, Shanghai Public Security bureau is responsible for law enforcement, public safety, and prevention and combat of crimes. With Shanghai World Expo 2010 approaching and citizens paying more attention to the Shanghai Public Security bureau, the way in which the net portal can serve the public better and improve user satisfaction has become a vital and realistic topic in discussion.This thesis focuses on the research study of the G2C service of Shanghai Police portal based on the theory of customer satisfaction, the influential factors of public satisfaction, the assessment model and index system. The thesis includes seven chapters where the first chapter describes the purpose and background of the research,the research status domestically and in foreign regions, the mission of the research and methodology of how the research is taken. This is followed by the classic customer satisfaction model and index system testing of which the research takes reference to. By means of detailed analyzes on the portal and the portal's target users characteristic, the proto type of assessment model and index system are proposed. Through SPSS data analysis verification and the empirical investigation, the refined assessment model and index system of public satisfaction is then designed for the Shanghai Police Portal. Evaluation was then conducted based on the final module and index system. According to the evaluation results, the Web issues and root cause of Shanghai Police portal was then found. Finally, the related improvement advises were then put forward.
