A Study On American Factors Of China's Geopolitical Environment At The Beginning Of 21^st Century

After the Cold War, the global geopolitical situation has greatly changed. In recent years China's fast development in political, economic, military and other fields has drawn attention of the world, particularly a high degree of vigilance and precaution of the United States. Facing China's continuous overall growth in power, the United States has implemented a proactive intervention strategy to achieve his purposes. On one hand, a rich geopolitical theory has been a helpful guide for its China strategy, of which the periphery theory and Brzezinski's geopolitical strategy for Asia and Europe have had a significant impact on our country; on the other hand, it carried out a full-scale containment of China by stepping up the economic penetration and control of China, strengthening the influence and interference in China's politics, and strengthening the containment of China's military power. In non-traditional areas as energy, counter-terrorism, the U.S is also influencing our geopolitical environment by its technological and cultural power.It is an important issue for the geopolitics study in China to discuss about the way to guarantee a safe and stable geopolitical situation of our country. This article has analyzed the Asia-Europe geopolitical environment and found that "the hope arc of human-being" will be a breakthrough in China's geopolitical theory. No one can contain China's development and our excellent geographical location and potential will resolve the interference of the US in China's geopolitical environment and this will help us win the chance of a greater development.
