30 years of reform and opening up, China's absolute income, the absolute standard of life quality are improved. However, China is an uneven developing country, in these years, the gap between urban and rural areas is not reduced, but further widened. If the gap continues to expand but we do not have a reasonable solution, we will face many latent instable factors. The inequality between urban and rural areas of basic public services has become the biggest obstruction in China. Therefore, how to achieve equalization of basic public services between urban and rural areas on the basis of the combination of both efficiency and fairness has become a major demand of social development.Through scanning the equalization of public services in our country's current situation and problems, analyzing China's equalization of basic public services of the reasons for the existing problems, and exploring basic public services for China's realization of the path of equalization. The reasons why China has the existence of non-equalization of basic public services are follows:the binary system of urban and rural areas does not be broken; national financial resources allocation restricts the rural areas; China's transfer payment system problems; the lack of overall strategic plan about the equalization of basic public services and so on. To achieve the equalization of basic public services,the paths are follows:the reform of household registration system, the establishment of equal status of urban and rural residents; speed up the establishment of a unified urban and rural public service system; a well-established system of public finance to promote equalization of basic public services; innovation and the supply of basic public services in rural areas system; improve basic public services in urban and rural areas to promote the equalization of the laws and regulations.
