Study On The Quality Of Civilian-run Higher Vocational Education

The quality of civilian-run higher vocational school is an important phase of modern higher education. Our country's civilian-run higher vocational school has formed certain scale and structure, as well as unique feature during these 20 years, which proves its rationality and necessity to our modern higher education. However, since 1999 while higher school has been extending its scale, the speed of student's rising surpasses the speed of teacher's rising; extremely since the law that is "promoting civilian-run higher vocational school" put into effect, its development speed is astonishing, which makes the quality of civilian-run higher vocational school become a hot problem, and that is the study subject of this thesis.As the development of China's economy, the demand of practical and technical talent is rising quickly. Although civilian-run higher vocational school has grown swiftly, its education quality problem is more and more severe. The paper analyses how to make its education quality sustainably and healthily develop. We use theoretical and experimental methods to study about JiangXi DaYu, and we set it as an example to make sure the target of cultivating talents. Basing on developed countries' successful experience as well as combining our relative policies with our civilian-run higher vocational schools' feature, we put forward some suggestions to elevate education quality from social appraisal, teacher team construction, intensify management and courses building.The structure of this paper presents as following:The first part is introduction. We expound the background of choosing this title and the relative value of this thesis in it. In the second part, we define some conceptions on civilian-run higher vocational school and its quality. On the basis, the third part analyses the current situation of China's civilian-run higher vocational school. We confirm the achievements as well as point out some problems. In the fourth part, we study the successful experience of developed countries' rising civilian-run higher vocational school's quality. Then, basing on the current situation of China's civilian-run higher vocational school and the fourth part of this paper, we have put forward some suggestions about how to elevate education quality. The last part, we set JiangXi DaYu as an example to study concrete methods of promoting civilian-run higher vocational school's quality from recruiting students, political task, teacher team construction, teaching method and courses building etc. aspect.The key point and suggestions about this paper present as following:First, we have make sure the definition of civilian-run higher vocational school, which is conducted by social organizations or individuals without finance assistance. It is geared to the needs of society and is public welfare, that is one part of modern education industry. As the history of our country's civilian-run higher vocational school is short, and it lacks of funds and enough finance assistance, as well as its imperfect management mechanism, low social identity, the quality of it is a problem. How to elevate its education quality is a great task, we base on the current situation of China's civilian-run higher vocational school and the study of successful experience of developed countries' rising civilian-run higher vocational school's quality, we have put forward some suggestions about how to elevate education quality mainly from governmental policies, social active response and active reply of civilian-run higher vocational school. In the end, we set JiangXi DaYu as an example to study concrete methods of promoting civilian-run higher vocational school's quality.
