With the rapid development of economy,more and more people who have both rich theory knowledge and high capability in practice are required by the society. National Medium and Long-term Educational Reform and Development Program (2010-2020) (The Program for short in this article) place the vocational education in the more important position. The goal of the national vocational education is that the graduates from vocational colleges not only have high professional skill but also are in all-round development. Therefore vocational education should be forward-looking and responsible for the future of students. Hereby the teaching of mathematics, which is facing overall students, is necessary for the afterward development of overall students. It has realistic background and is interesting and challenging. The Program points out that the most important in vocational education is to pursue a higher quality. But how to maximize the impact of the mathematics teaching, make the mathematics teaching serve the study of other majors better and benefit the students truly in the limited time? This article connects the theory of effective teaching with the mathematics education of vocational school. With the questionnaire survey and investigations among the students and teachers, the status of teaching and studying is well learned. The effective education cases,which combines special major with mathematics and meets the requirement of future work, are found out. A effective education is understanding what he learns, and applying what he learns. Insisting on the education guided by practice, this article provides some practice basis in guiding the students to achieve the knowledge and skill in practical experience.
