Since 2001,Shanghai's second course in full swing. In life science teaching, the traditional form of education can no longer meet modern high-speed development of scientific and technological needs, have been suggested to be educators participated in the scientific inquiry process "to explore" ways of education. Currently, this method has been recognized in many countries, as well as elementary life science curriculum of one of the main objectives.But in life science teaching, the researchers found, how to conduct effective research activities is a weak link. Many teachers eager to win, just tell the student how to explore, even replacing the student to explore; it was also the pursuit of unchecked, on the surface of a free and autonomous,.Teachers passively, no choice but to play the "gatekeepers" role. This study aims to explore the middle school life science teaching and research activities in developing effective ways and means, and on the basis of practice, with a view to establishing the feasibility of the teachers in the next life science teaching in the reference.This article explores the concept to define, on the theoretical basis of elaborated and presented the study at home and abroad;the main part of the thesis, the article describes effective inquiry design principles, specific cases as well as effective exploration activities in many forms:student experiment exploring activities,in theory with practice in carrying out research activities, group research activities carried out in collaboration, the expansion of activities in probing activities extracurricular interest group, the subject of inquiry activities undertaken in, multimedia, network, carrying out research activities;and the results of this research statistics and analysis, a conclusion. The study concludes with the implementation of some of the issues and on the follow-up of recommendations.This study combined with our actual situation, the effective inquiry for middle school life science teaching. Before and after the experiment conducted teacher questionnaire and survey, students in the laboratory after experiments and tested against the ban and statistical processing, from a qualitative and quantitative aspects of the research activities conducted the evaluation results.Through investigation and analysis of the results of the experiment, the researchers believe:in junior high school life science teaching effective inquiry, can enhance the students'interest in the life sciences to improve student test scores, conducive to enhancing students'life science literacy and the development of students'questions, problem-solving skills.
