Faith, as human's spiritual prop, expresses human's hopeful expectation to the future. It functions as the bridge connecting the present and the future in the process of exploring life value and pursuing the ultimate goal.The youth, especially the contemporary college students, are the hope of the Chinese nation. They are the mainstay of advancing history and social development. The majority of the college students in modern society cherish a sound faith, however, the post-80 and post-90 group, who grow up in a more free society due to the introduction of Reform and Opening-up, have deviated in spiritual, leading to moral problems such as the loss of faith, moral confuse, material-oriented belief, the discord between faith and behavior. In terms of the social reasons, the existence of such phenomenon is due to political and social reform; impinge from the market-oriented economy, and the transfer of culture. College's education, family background and personal personalities are also accountable for it.The reconstruction of modern college students' faith entails taking every aspect into consideration and employing various helpful methods. It is imperative to follow the intrinsic rules in reconstructing faith, such as the integration of heritage and innovation, the integration of freedom and constrict the integration of ideal and reality, people-orientation, the universal relation. It is also imperative to crystallize the acceptable faiths to college students, such as a firm political belief, lofty morality, upright career personality. Meanwhile, it is necessary to rectify their beliefs in an innovative, rational and emotionally acceptable way, with morality teaching, campus cultural activities, and internet media as helpful tools.
