On Actualities And Countermeasures Of Physical Education Teachers Of Independent Colleges In Wuhan

Teachers are propagators of human culture and science and master educators of human beings, and are talent scouts looking for potential of human beings. Teacher is the key to improve the quality of education.Independent colleges is the new blood of our country's higher education. The quality of PE teachers will be a key factor to influence the development of independent colleges. Most of the independent colleges of Hubei are centers in Wuhan, and the PE teachers of these colleges will necessarily influence their students and then the colleges. The study on the actualities of PE teachers of Wuhan independent colleges is of a certain practical value to guide and promote the development of independent colleges in Wuhan.In the paper the PE teachers from the 14 independent colleges of Wuhan are taken as the objects to study the actualities through consulting massive documents, carrying on questionnaire surveys, mathematic statistics, logical analysis and so on. Explore effective ways to develop a scientific, standard and healthy physical education in independent college. The findings indicated:Most of the independent colleges have an excessive proportion of part-time PE teachers and full-time PE teachers with low academy degrees and professional titles, and they suffer from an inadequate supply on full-time PE teachers with high academy degrees and professional titles. The PE teachers have little chance of teaching contest and training, and there is an uneven distribution on their professional structures, moreover the low awareness of scientific research resulted in low research achievements. Besides, the high workload, dissatisfaction on sport yards and equipment and high stress may do great harm to the PE teachers.In view of the above question, the author proposed:The university leaders should change their mind to improve the systems underlying teachers'development, to highlight the training on teachers'professional quality and to improve the teaching conditions. The author gives some reference suggestions in the hoping that the independent colleges in Wuhan can optimize their PE teaching staff.
