| Along with the accumulation of achievements in research of cultivation regarding 0-3 years old infant and children, people realize more and more of the benefits in many aspects of this area. More attention has been paid to the upbringing of young children world wide. The early training organizations have been arising constantly and increased in number tremendously in the city of Hohhot in recent years, however the accomplishment of research in the area is scarce. For learning the current developing situation of early training centre in the city and finding out the issues among it, two characters of researching methods have been adopted in this essay:interview and observation. I visited and investigated five of the early training centers which are regarded as the cases of the research. I analyzed the issues existed and reasons of the issues base on the through investigation of the situation of current cultivation and management. I presented continuable developing strategies base on the analysis.Discovery of research:in terms of children care, education, organization running and management, issues existed among the early training centers in the city are as follows:Firstly, there are two types of early training centers in the city of Hohhot. One type is those educational organizations registered with education bureau which include full-time and part-time format. The other is those commercial organizations registered with industrial and commercial bureau which are part-time format. Apart from these two types there are some others registered with association of commonweal. More are not registered. Secondly, there are big differences in the set up of environment between full-time and part-time early training centers. In full-time early training centers the settings have been regionalized clearly, whereas most of the part-time centers without; in the full-time centers daily life routines, nutritional diet and physical exercise and so on have been properly organized, yet in the part-time center food is not provided, the opportunities for exercise are very little due to limited space; for health care full-time centers are equipped with professional doctors and health care facilities of what are lack in part-time centers, only with cleaners doing the basic cleaning work or even done by the teachers; safety issues still exist in both types of early training centers. Thirdly, the designed courses are staged in accordance with month-age of children but with no unified standards, courses in affiliated centers mainly instructed by the headquarter, in the educational centers courses mainly derive from the most popular ones in the market, the systematicity and rationality of the course contents still need more contemplation; the teachers in the early training centers are mostly from pre-school education background, some are not from the related background, they are generally lack of professional knowledge. Teaching certificate are rarely aimed at children aged 0-3. Pre-service and during-service trainings are different in respective training centers. Teachers from early training centers which are for commercial purpose receive apart from internal-training, little was done for professional qualification training. Parental education is the universal weak part of the early training centers. Fourthly, early training centers in Hohhot are private institutions; fees are relatively high, part-time early training centers charge around RMB50-200 per day, full-time early training centers around RMB1300 per month. Rationality of the payment has to be discussed. Government and other institutions do not get involved in the management of early training centers which are also lack of the related support of policies and funds. Base on the analysis of reasons for above situation and issues,I presented continuable developing strategies for early training centers in the city of Hohhot. |
