Analysis Of Morphous Characteristics Of Facial Features In Chinese Southwest 6 Ethnic Minorities

Objective:To observe and analyze facial feature image information and X films of six ethnic minorities in Southwest China(Tujia, Tibetan, Buyi, Dong, Yao, Hani),trying to find the Facial morphology similarities and differences between men and women,and reflecting the distinction between 6 ethnic minority in southwest china. And verify that there is a link between the facial bone associated and the facial features.Methods:In this paper , we selected chinese southwest 6 ethnic minorities ,a total of 2 009 healthy adult men and women,and studied the facial features by observed image information and X films.Results: The six ethnic minorities in Southwest China were generally similar facial features,but also had their own national identity.Adult men and women of this nation are reflected in gender differences and similarities between the characteristics of facial features. Bony five sensory organs and the facial five sensory organs were most consistent. There are facial form characteristics of adult male and female of six minorities in the Southwest China :(1)Tibetan: Most male facial phenotype characteristics are as follows: Hairs are divided from the middle,face is rectangular or elliptic; Eyebrow is straight or bow; Eyelid is double-fold, the spacing is medium width between brow and eye , the width of palpebral fissure is medium with low inner canthus. Zygomatic is medium height with flat nasal root, bridge of the nose is straight ,the tip of nose is mediate form and the surface of nasal base is level. Corner of the mouth is lever, the oral fissure is medium slant wide,lip is in situ with medium thickness. Angle of mandible is in situ with rounded and straight chin. Most female facial phenotype characteristics are as follows: Hair is rolled up, face is rectangular or elliptic; Eyebrow is straight or bow; Eyelid is double-fold, the spacing is medium width between brow and eye , the width of palpebral fissure is medium with low inner canthus. Zygomatic is medium height with flat nasal root, bridge of the nose is straight ,the tip of nose is mediate form and the surface of nasal base is level. Corner of the mouth is lever, the oral fissure is medium slant wide,lip is in situ with medium thickness. Angle of mandible is in situ with rounded and straight chin.(2)Dong:Most male facial phenotype characteristics are as follows: Hairs are divided from the middle,face is rectangular or elliptic; Eyebrow is straight; Double-fold eyelid is more than single-edged eyelid, the spacing is medium width between brow and eye , the width of palpebral fissure is medium with low inner canthus. Zygomatic is medium height with flat nasal root, bridge of the nose is straight ,the tip of nose is mediate form and the surface of nasal base is level. Corner of the mouth is lever, the oral fissure is medium slant wide,lip is in situ with medium thickness. Angle of mandible is in situ, chin is rounded and straight , partly jutting out. Most female facial phenotype characteristics are as follows: Hair is long, face is rectangular or elliptic; Eyebrow is straight; Eyelid is double-fold, the spacing is medium width between brow and eye , the width of palpebral fissure is medium with low inner canthus. Zygomatic is medium height with flat nasal root or concave, bridge of the nose is straight ,the tip of nose is mediate form and the surface of nasal base is level or ptosis. Corner of the mouth is lever, the oral fissure is medium slant wide,lip is in situ with medium thickness. Angle of mandible is in situ , chin is rounded and straight , partly jutting out. (3)Yao: Most male facial phenotype characteristics are as follows: Hairs are divided from the middle or bob ,face is rectangular or elliptic; Eyebrow is bow; Double-fold eyelid is as many as single-edged eyelid, the spacing is medium width between brow and eye , the width of palpebral fissure is medium with low inner canthus,the connection of inner and outer canthus is partly level. Zygomatic juts out with concave or flat nasal root, bridge of the nose is straight ,the tip of nose is mediate form and the surface of nasal base is level or ptosis. Corner of the mouth is lever, the oral fissure is medium slant wide,lip is in situ with medium thickness. Angle of mandible is ectropion, chin is rounded and straight. Zygomatic juts out with flat nasal root, bridge of the nose is straight ,the tip of nose is mediate form and the surface of nasal base is level. Corner of the mouth is lever, the oral fissure is medium slant wide,lip is in situ with medium thickness. Angle of mandible is ectropion, chin is rounded and straight. Zygomatic is medium with flat nasal root, bridge of the nose is straight ,the tip of nose is mediate form and the surface of nasal base is level. Angle of mandible is in situ , chin is rounded and straight.Conclusion:The acquisition of statistically adequate population data may provide useful information for the reconstruction of biological profiles of unidentified individuals, particularly concerning ethnic affiliation, and possibly also for personal identification.
