Investigation and Thinking of the Students?Motives in Vocational Middle Schools to Learn Chinese Language and Literatures Abstract To try to understand the studying psychology and heighten the teaching efficiency of Chinese, 289 students.were asked to review the question sheet in this sampling survey to study the subjective and objective factors that affect the motives of learning Chinese in the vocational schools. The analysis results showed that the students had definite motives and certain interest to learn Chinese, even though the promotional effects of motive were relatively low. Their motives had relatively high infractions of 搒ocial?factors and studying initiatives were needed be increased. The dullness 憃f. teaching materials, the general tuition of teachers and.?the indolence, contradictory psychology and dread of writing of students hampered the formation of motives to learn Chinese in the v髜tional schools. Therefore, the teachers should insist on developing .~he role of subjective motivations inlearning Chinese, value the satisfaction of mental demands of students while giving tuition, establish a circums.tances with developing objectives on class to straighten the gradualness and plenty of the objectives, pay attention to the iole of ejnotional seeking in tuition with the enrichment of 揵ig Chinese?concepi on the tuition contents and methods. Also it is suggested to establish a flexible teaching and testing system that combined the evaluation with the learning effectively to produce the contribution the test deserved.
