| After World War II, great changes have taken place in politics, economy, culture and science. Traditional university, directed by New Humanism, experienced a very hard development through more than one hundred, in the end declined. As a new type of college, Fachhochschule was developed in 1960s. It's the unique higher education institution in the Germany, which aim to train higher technical personnel and applied workers. Fachhochschule, which is an important part of higher education, has been made a great contribution to prosperity of German economy since it was founded. In 1990s, West and East Germany were unified and the trend of internationalization becomes more and more clear. With the new challenges and opportunities, Fachhochschule implement a series of reform in the length of schooling, tuition, teachers' salary, curriculum and so on. This dissertation aims to study German Fachhochschule which our country can learn from.This dissertation includes 5 chapter. Chapter 1 analyses the reason of the development of Fachhochschule in view of ideology, society and higher education. Chapter 2 discusses the experience in the development of Fachhochschule through the study of the social background, such as economy and politics. We can know the relationship between Fachhochschule and economy. Chapter 3 expounds the characteristics of Fachhochschule, comparing with university. This part describes the aim, the mission, the system of management, college scale, qualification of admissions, condition of graduate, length of schooling, field of study, the arrangement of curriculum, teaching method, the treatment of teacher. Chapter 4 describes the reform of Fachhochschule in the length of schooling, funds, curriculum, and so on when the condition of German politics, economy and science take on a new look. Chapter 5 gives some conclusive analysis of the development of German Fachhochschule according to relevant problem in China. |
