The application of internet in the educational fields make the traditional face-to-face communication between teachers and students more complicated so that a new way of communication is created-person-to-computer communication. This new way of communication is more challenging than the previous traditional methods. The latter has positive as well as negative effects on the former. This thesis, on the basis of many other investigations, purports to deal with the characteristics of this phenomenon, such as the variety, equality, and indirectness of the present person-to-computer communication. Meanwhile, some disadvantages caused by this phenomenon are also discussed in the present thesis, such as the lack of emotional communication between teachers and students, the side effects on the students' personalities, the challenges to the authoritativeness of the university teachers and so on. The reasons are analyzed in this thesis. Roughly they include: making the intercommunication more open, making face-to-face communication somewhat reduced; misplacing the occurrence of one's role in which teachers and students in the conversion is between illusion and reality; the sharing of information resources on the internet has got the authority defied of teachers as embodiment of knowledge; science uniqueness and technology supremacy have produced negative results in internet education. In the later part of the thesis, some practical solutions to the problem are proposed. Approximately they are: changing the role of the teachers ; heightening the ability of teachers and students to obtain information; developing all kinds of interchanging techniques and providing various means of interchanging; fostering a healthy internet environment; reinforcing emotional care for the students. In a word, internet is a double-edge sword, which has bright sides as well as dark ones to the intercommunication between teachers and students. On the one hand, we should bring its advantages into full play, on the other, some measures should be taken to stop its disadvantages. Furthermore, we should combine face-to-face intercommunication and person-to-computer intercommunication together, and make fuller use of their advantages and serve our education better.
