Based on the practice of Guangxi teacher education and mainly through the methodology of investigation, this paper attempts to conduct an in-depth demonstrative investigation into the current circumstances of the four-year teacher education of Guangxi teacher universities. Chiefly the undergraduate of the Guangxi teacher universities in recent 10 years were subjected to this inquisition and they had made personally practical comments on the training they'd received in the university. As a result of the thorough analysis and discussion of all these first-hand data, this paper puts forward pertinent suggestions for the education of Guangxi teacher university.It's divided into 4 parts. The first part summarizes the history of the teacher education of our country and brings forward the current challenges considering the global developing trend of the teacher education. The second part evaluates the quality of those questionnaires, presents general analyses of those substantive data as well as the otherness checkouts according to the annual development, the teacher or the student group, categories of schools and students, and points out the current circumstances of the Guangxi teacher education. The third part investigates into the problems posed in the present education practice with the help of the above analysis results. The fourth part proposes the corresponding suggestions through analyzing the causes.The research proved that the undergraduates from higher teacher education universities in Guangxi have a low evaluation of the higher teacher education they have received. There existed problems of different degrees in the cultivation and fostering of many abilities, such as the knowledge learning, the teaching ability, cooperation and administration ability, scientific research and expansion ability, ethic qualities, teachers' professional morality, application of modern educational technology, teacher's physical and mental quality. The results of the investigation on the discrepancies also proved that there exist differences of evaluation on the talents cultivation among teachers and students, common students and student leaders. From the comparison with the higher normal university in the other provinces, one may find that there are differences with local universities and universities belonging to the national education ministry in view of scientific research and expansion ability training, modern educational technology application ability, etc. At present, the shortage of the cultivation and training of talents in higher teacher universities in Guangxi lie mainly in the following four aspects: innovative ability, educationalresearch ability, the application of modern educational technology and the noble personality.In this thesis, the writer considered that the main problems existed in the training and cultivation of talents in higher teacher university in Guangxi are as follows: the scarcity of teaching resources, the arbitrariness of the curriculum set-up, the monotony of the educational course, the out-of-date and stilted content of the course, emphasis on theory and neglect of practice. Neither the quality nor the quantity of educational practice can up to the requirements of educational development and the failure to cultivate the talents in close unity with the practice and development of elementary education reform are also problems existed. So, with references to the current situation of Guangxi's education and economy development and the problems found in the research, the object of the training of talents in higher normal university in Guangxi should put emphasis on the training of middle school teachers. The four-year college & university education would still be the basic mode of higher normal education in Guangxi. We should adjust the curriculum structure, strengthen the educational course, advocate the cooperative-enquiry-based teaching style, case-pedagogic style and the micro-teaching style, hold to the educational practice activity according to the rule of the " theory-practic...
