The aim of this paper is to provide some theory fundamental to college students'physiology heaIth education through the deep understanding the Life Stress (LS) ofcollege students facing, the Resource of LS, and the Social Support the students getto help them resolve the LS, and the relationship of life stress, Social Suppoft andmental health. ThIee study's instrument was employed in the paper f the LSChecklist (drafted by CSLSC), Social Support Rating Scale and SCL-90. Thesamples were 627 students out of five universities of Wuhan invited by occasion.The result shows that f (l) the LS are mixed of misfortune and daily hassle,daily hassle is the main factor. (2) The LS is positive correlation with their score of -SCL-90. the events to effect mental balance from strong to soft as following facademic achievement or career anticipation, interpersonal reIationship, life orenvironmental change, contact with other gender or sex problem, economicexchange, body problem, relationship with his family or family misfOrtune, andaction of Law or regulation. (3) The scatter feature of LS ist LS of male is higherthan that of femaIe, the LS of high grade are more than that of lot'.er grade. Malefeel more LS in contact with other gendef, sex, and economic situation, than femalein same condition. The students coming from country bear more LS than thosecotning from city in economic exchange, reIationship with his family or family -.misfOrtune, and actions of the Law or regulation. In academic achievement or career -anticipation, contact with other gender or sex problem, higher grade, higher LS.There is an interaction betWeen the Social SuPport is negative correlation with theirscore of SCL-90, grade and origin at contact of genders. (4) The effect to mentalhealth from high to low is utilization of support, subective suPport, and objectivesupport. (5) The scatter feature of SociaI support is' as a whole, female get moreSocial Suppoft than that of male. In detail, female get more objective support thanmale, town student's subjective support is more than that of couniry students. Thestudents' subjective support and objective suPport from only child families are morethan those from chi1dren' faInilies. There is an interaction betWeen one child andgender at objective support. (6) The college students' social support is notcorrelated with LS .Not only the college Stlldenis' social support but also LS haseffect on their mental health independently.
