In modem society, science and technology is developed forward by leaps and bounds, puts forward higher request for the cultivation of the talent, and it pays more attention to the cultivation of practice spirit and innovation ability, therefore, puts forward higher request for educational teaching. Under new historical conditions educational reform requires teaching course from emphasizing the conclusions of knowledge to emphasizing obtaining knowledge. Education should focus on the preliminary scientific inquiry ability and cultivation of the scientific attitude, not lie in the study of a certain concrete knowledge. Inquiry-based teaching just accords with the demands for this kind of reform in education, lets students go through the course of scientific inquiry, trains students' inquiry ability and initiative spirit , thus reach the final cultivation of student's emotion, attitude, values. I introduce inquiry-based teaching into the physics classroom instruction in middle school and carry on deeper discussion of the theory and implementation issue of physics inquiry-based teaching in middle school.This article, on the basic of probing into the inquiry teaching theory, seeks one suitable inquiry teaching mode, implementation tactics of physics teaching in middle school, etc, realizes mainly: Students study by way of inquiry voluntarily, train inquiry ability and innovation ability of students. Namely let students find existing knowledge again voluntarily, train inquiry ability independently; and learn reconfigures existing knowledge, train innovation ability and practice ability.This article is divided into five parts altogether, the first part explains the forming and development, definition, characteristics and the essence ofinquiry-based teaching; the second part describes the theoretical foundation of inquiry-based teaching: cognitive structure theory, meaningful learning theory, modern constructionism learning theory; the third part regards the theory of inquiry teaching as foundation, has built the train aims, teaching mode, operation steps, implementation tactics and design principle about physics inquiry-based teaching,in middle school; the fourth part, according the inquiry teaching mode, has implement inquiry-based teaching in physics teaching of senior one grade's high school, analyzed two typical inquiry-based teaching cases, and has tested and assessed the result after implementing, has drawn some conclusions; the fifth part combines teaching practice, discusses and thinks to this text, and explains the follow-up work briefly.
