It's over 50 years since the People's Republic of China started the curriculum reform of primary school. The history of curriculum reform is a process of going on meeting problems and then solving them, and also a process of making the curriculum more and more perfect, getting more and more Scientific. Acquainting us with the history of curriculum reform is to better understand the present situation and foresee the trends of curriculum reform.This article is based on the history of curriculum reform of primary school in the People's Republic of China, which goes over the main achievements and existing problems and analyzes the developing trends in the 21 st century.The whole thesis is made up of five sections.The first section: prefaceThis section expounds briefly the present situation and research significance of this research topic, introducing the research character, stages and methods.The second section: reviews the history of curriculum reform in primary schools of the People's Republic of China.This section mainly looks back the history of curriculum reform through six stages which in dictates the different aspects: backgrounds, causes, contents and specialties.The third section: research on the main achievements and problems.This section is the most important because it concludes the achievements about the administrating policy, curriculum structure and the textbook compiling. The problems are on the theory and practice as well.The fourth section: foresees the developing trends.On the ground of the tendency of curriculum reform of primary school in the world, the trends of curriculum reform in China should be integration, modernization and variety.The fifth section: conclusion...
