School-based curriculum is a highlight in the new basic education curriculum reform. It is a diversified curriculum which can be chosen by the students, based on the premise that a school can assure the basic quality of national and local curriculums, and clear about the situation of its purpose of running a school and its goal of educating people (education philosophy), through scientific evaluation on the needs of its students, making full use of the local and school curriculum resources. The school-based curriculum development, based on the school, aiming at meeting the needs of students and showing the ideas and specialties of school-running, is a curriculum development according to the certain curriculum-weaving program by the teachers, with the democratic principles and open measures by the school. School-based curriculum is in view of the differences of schools, teachers and students, and aims at meeting the needs of students' character development. At the same time, it is beneficial to the needs of teachers' self-development. So, it can be a great supplementary curriculum in conformity with national curriculum and local curriculum. This research tries to explore a school-based curriculum to meet the needs of mathematics improving of secondary vocational school students, according to the reality of schools' resources. As the long-standing influence of traditional curriculum model, GCSVS has been facing a lot of problems: single mathematics curriculum goals, which leads to pay more attention to knowledge-teaching than ability-cultivating; deep and difficult curriculum content, which loses contact with the reality of the students; poor application of curriculum; the rigid curriculum structures and monopolized curriculum; the dull ways of teaching and dominated teaching-speaking classes; one-sided curriculum evaluation and neglect of the development of the students in an all-round way, etc. All of these cannot satisfy the students and their parents' increasing needs for excellent education and prevent the school from further developing, especially in a dilemma that secondary vocational education is on the decline.Curriculum concepts are the guarantee of the successful development of school-based curriculum. The concepts of developing mathematics school-based curriculum of general-knowledge improving class of secondary vocational schools students in GCSVS are: based on promoting the development of students, showing the specialties of school running. The success development of mathematics school-based curriculum has great value and significance in forming the specialties of mathematics teaching in secondary vocational schools, meeting the needs of students' developing and improving the professional level of teachers. Also, it can offer a good reference to the school-based curriculum development of other subjects.Through the investigation to the students and the evaluation of their needs, the general goals of mathematics school-based curriculum are made: making students grasp the basic knowledge of mathematics of secondary vocational schools and training students' basic skills of mathematics; understanding the process of producing mathematics knowledge of secondary vocational schools and the basic ways of grasping mathematics knowledge; cultivating students' mathematics thoughts and the ability of mathematics application; improving students' interesting in mathematics; shaping a good habit of learning mathematics; gradually increasing students' confidence and ability of learning mathematics; forming a correct attitude towards study; helping students have a good grasp of mathematics so that they can study further. Based on the making of general goals, according to the reality of secondary vocational school students, the detailed goals are made, such as making suitable mathematics knowledge and skills, the process and ways of mathematics teaching, emotion and attitude and so on.
