Case study method first originals from the 19th century .Coming from medical science,case study mainly refers to a special worthful case. When the value of case studies method iscopproved, it is introduced to the field of science research at the same time. Specifically speaking, case study method in education generally refers to choosing aspecific individual, education case ,education institution or group as a target ; taking theprocess of its changing and developing as the content ,searching for a large number of relativeaterials , analyzing it deeply fully to trace for the reasons for the special condition so that onecan uncover the basic law and give us some valuable education reform measures to make theresearch target perfect. After analyzing the basic theory of classroom teaching , I draw a standard to measuremath teaching in class on one hand ; On the other hand ,through observing in class , I carry onmy own case study-productional concept math's teaching "teaching attempt on axialsymmetry figer". The conclusion of this thesis is that case study in education is an observastion andanalysation of the whole teaching process instead of a teaching plan or a teaching design. It(case study )desciribes vividly and specificly the joys of creation and dilemma that oneencounters in class.It records the process of change in one`s concept and manners of teaching. The characteristics of this thesis: (1) Vncovers deeply the essence of maths case teaching.(2) Describes the reforming process of waking and changes in the teachers mind , whichalso brings the changes of pupils′ways of study . (3)Explains in various ways the realteaching circumstances and problems one may face in a rich complicated and real classroomteaching process. (4)With the help of some professional partners, sticking on and centering onthe special theme of case study,I have a good command of the relative materials and try tointegrate my points of view with the materials. Of course, my study about case study is only an initial one, which needs furtherdevelopment.
