The Study Of The Effects Of College And University Physical Education Of China On The Modernization Of College And University Students

With the development of modern society and in order to catering to its hunger of modernized synthetic talents, people are becoming more concerned about Physical Education. As one kind of special phenomenon and important branch of social culture, College and University Physical Education acts largely in the contents of college and university students' everyday life and plays a great role in enriching college and university campus culture. At the same while, as a good link and an important part of Physical Education and higher education, it' s also a good channel to promote the modernization of college and university students and cultivate qualified and modernized talents for the modern society.Insisted on materialist dialectics and historical materialism, regarded the theories as the bases of my study such as the theory of Marxian social development and man' s all-round development, theory of modernization and man' s modernization, theory of higher education and College and University Physical Education etc., from different perspectives of Physical Education Science, sociology, psychology, anthropology, pedagogy and behaviorism, and by theoretical and demonstrative studies integrated, some possibilities and feasibilities of college and university physical education speeding up the modernization of college and universitystudents have been discussed in this paper. Meanwhile some conclusions have been drawn and some suggestions have been put forward. The main works of the paper are listed as follows.The theoretical work as the first, with the full acquaintance of current studies on College and University Physical Education and the modernization of college and university students, in the paper, not only the connected concepts and theories of College and University Physical Education, modernization and man' s modernization have been generalized and induced, but also the epoch tasks, targets and characteristic functions of College and University Physical Education for moulding social talents have been analyzed. Furtherly, the survey of active promotion of it to the college and university students' modernization have also been explored and analyzed.The practical research and demonstrative work as the second, the questionnaires on the current situations of College and University Physical Education and its actual effects on the comprehensive quality of college and university students have been tested on 1097 college and university students from 12 colleges and universities in north, east, south, middle and south-west areas of China. Some experts of Physical Education and Higher Education have also been visited or phoned. According to the results of data statistics and from the point of view of fixed quality analysis, some conclusions have been drawn and some differences between the effects of College and University Physical Education on the qualities of the students have been found out.Finally, from several administrative levels of College and University Physical Education such as teaching modes, education concepts, teaching course setup, the selection and organization ofteaching materials, the conditions of facilities and equipments for teaching, the supply of qualified teachers, the management of physical education and teaching and so on, the positive effects of college and university physical education on the students' modernization have been worked out and discussed and some connected suggestions have been put forward. As the result, some new train of thoughts for the reforming of college and university physical education and teaching will be supplied.
