Compared with the practice of educational technology, which can be seen in school education and professional training and more fields today, the theory of educational technology is poor, especially the philosophy theory.Much theory of technology philosophy can be introduced into the research on educational technology, and many research works as such has been done. A problem is that most of this research works has mainly focused on one or some aspects of the ontology of educational technology, while not as a whole, or systematically.In this thesis, begin with the discussion of technology from the view of technology philosophy, the author discussed the nature, attribute, object, objective, value and main task of educational technology, each one of them is a part of the ontology of educational technology. The conclusion of the discussion is that: The nature of educational technology is a research activity as educational science; the research object of it is the practice of educational technology: the objective of it is to solve the problem of education and instruction more effective, time efficiency and cost efficiency: the main task of it is to develop new educational technology, which is a integration of procedures, tools and teacher's skills; the value of it can be achieved when the teachers using it in their instruction practice.All the conclusions above can't be used to explain the practice of educational technology directly, on the contrary, they must be modified based on the practice firstly.
