Since the end of the last century China's higher vocational education has been experiencing a rapid development, which made great contributions to realization of the popularization of higher education in China. However, due to being influenced strongly by the stiff principles in higher education and the very short history of the higher vocational education in China, the quality and the effect of the higher vocational education do not turn up trumps. Several shortcomings are shown in the curriculum provision in higher vocational education, such as neglecting the work process and ignoring the importance of the practice, which do great harm to the overall development of China's higher vocational education. Nowadays, with the coming of the epoch of knowledge economy, science and technology advance ahead very fast. So how to adapt to this trend? How to reform the higher vocational education curriculum? How to bring the curriculum provision to a new stage? How to renewedly shape up China's higher vocational education? These are the urgent problems that we must face and solve. In this thesis the author presents and analyses the status quo and some existed problems firstly. Following this the author reviews and analyses the history of the vocational education, which aims to find the underlying rules in the vocational education. After this, the conception of "work process" is brought forward, and it should be regarded as the most important principle in the process of curriculum provision. In the end several sub-principles are introduced, which conduces to overcoming the limitations and also helps to make the aim of China's higher vocational education come true.
