Moral self is a significant part of self, it has a dominant position in self development. Adolescent are our country's future, so the study on adolescents moral self is very valuable for the theory and practice. Based on overviews of former research and open-ended questionnaire, this study puts forward its own theoretical hypothesis, and forms adolescents moral self questionnaire, tests the reliability and validity. Then investigate 1300 adolescent students by formal questionnaire .The results of this study follow as:1. The self-made questionnaire has good reliability and validity. The structure of moral self includes five dimensions: general moral self , peer moral self, group moral self, family moral self, and individual moral self. Peer moral self has four factors: altruism, trust, respect and tolerance. Group moral self has three factors:social morality, dedication and sophisticate. Family moral self has four factors: filial piety, good relations of neighbourhood, hardworking and frugality. Individual moral self has three factors: self-confidence and enterprise, responsibility and self-indulgence.2. The total adolescents moral self develops like a "U" figure. It shows a degressive tendency in junior high school, and shows a ascending tendency in senior high school, keeping rough coherence in college phases.3. The average score of five dimensions from the highest to lowest in sequence are: general > peer > family > individual > group.4. There is a gender difference in general moral self, peer moral self,, group moral self, and family moral self,. The female students' average scores are significantly higher than male students' average scores.
