The quality education pertaining to humanity is basic of quality education. It is a great important component of modern education, and performs an essential role to higher institutions' talents culture, and incarnates the innovations of educational ideas, notions and practices. Furthermore, it is a crucial cut-in point of roundly propelling quality education.Nowadays, status of undergraduates' humanity quality is not so satisfied, which is manifested as follows: narrow views and unreasonable composition in humanity knowledge, poor abilities in spoken and written capability, practices, mental endurance and social intercommunication, hardly resisting the kinds of false ideas. Accordingly, strengthening the quality education pertaining to humanity for undergraduates and researching its performing patterns in higher institutions could be significant to roundly performing "Project of quality education in undergraduates", and establishing talents culture system of Chinese special socialistic higher education. Moreover, it would be crucial for the stratagems of "boost nation on science andeducation", "strengthen nation on talents", all-around talents culture, building well-off society in all-round way and realizing the great revival of Chinese nation.Recent years, especially followed the performance of "Project of boosting education in 21st century" and "Project of boosting education for years of 2003-2007", the quality education pertaining to humanity is more and more regarded by our governments and higher institutions. Even more, it had become the important step in carrying out the stratagems of "boost nation on science and education" and "strengthen nation on talents". Simultaneously, it had been studied by Experts and learners in various aspects, such as humanity quality, spirits, education and its connotations, ways of performing it, and how to run it through the professional education. Moreover, most of higher institutions had done a great deal of it and gotten plentiful productions in building curricula system, especially in developing the second class and constructing campus culture. However, for the higher medical institutions, they take more researches in theories and fewer in quality education of humanity. They were still short of researches and practices in putting the course of humanity quality education into their teaching plans and assess system, short of its exercisable evaluation system, short of relevant subjects and organizations, short of teachers group perfected in humanity nurturance, short of its training system, and short of the elective courses of humanity education. This dissertation researched and discussed the teaching patterns of the quality education pertaining to humanity, principally to establish those in higher medical institutions, it would offer references for the higher institutions to deepen their development of quality education in humanity.This research has adopted ways of interview investigations, questionnaire surveys and article reviews. In the period of research, our university(FMM7) had interviewed Beijing, Shenyang, Lanzhou and Jinan military & war areas, and morethan 50 units of air force, navy, missile army and healthy branches pertained to general equipment department, and the healthy organs of 12 provinces, those are Beijing, Hebei, Shanxi, Tianjing, Shanghai, Henan, Shandong, Ningxia, Gansu, Qinghai, Xinjiang, Shannxi. In addition, we had investigated Tsinghua University, Beijing University, Huazhong Science and Technology University, Peking Union Medical University, Nankai University, Shanghai Jiaotong University, Fudan University, Shanghai 2nd Medical University etc. Additionally, we had taken a questionnaire in the undergraduates of 1st -5th grade in four higher medical institutions, those are Fourth Military Medical University, Shanghai 2nd Medical University, Medical Institution of Zhejiang University, and Medical Institution of Xian Jiaotong University. Under the basic of the above work, we reviewed the issued articles for a deeper research. As well as this research, we reviewed lots of references, documents of nation and Education Dept., importance speech of party and nation leaders, and productions of former researchers, which were much helpful to our research.This dissertation falls into six parts. The first part is preface, mainly introduces the developments of the humanity quality education in our country. The second part is article review, reviewed the domestic and oversea history of the medical humanity quality education. The third part analyses the current status of humanity quality education in domestic and oversea higher medical institutions. The fourth part investigated and analyzed the status of some domestic higher medical institutions, through which we know the medical students strongly desired to promote the humanity quality of them, but it is not optimistic to humanity quality status of medical students and relevant education in higher institutions, so reforms are to be imperative. The fifth part researches the culture patterns of humanity quality in higher medical institutions, farther discusses its connotations, research background andtraining aim. The sixth part researches the establishing of its teaching patterns in higher medical institutions. Through building course system of the humanity quality education, it is to deepen the reform of teaching contents and measures, reinforce the construction of teaching materials, promote the quality of teacher groups, develop the 2nd class and strengthening teaching on class and build its main position and primary function. Through reinforcing the construction of campus culture, it takes the activities of social practices, fully makes use of social sources, exerts their edification and exercise function, takes it through the whole process of talents culture, and penetrates it though each steps of teaching.The innovations of this research lie in: First, we have been built a four-in-oneteaching pattern of quality education in humanity------"class teaching, campus culture,social practices and social humanity circumstance". Second, established its education system that covers class teaching, campus culture and social practices, carried out the humanity quality education that is called "ten continuous instructions during five years", developed five activities of social practice. Third, through the "fiveintegrated" ------first class and second class, apparent courses and latent courses,profession education and humanity education, theories education and practice exercises, university culture and society culture, ,it has performed the patterns of "culture by whole courses, culture by whole system, culture by whole process and culture by whole society". Therefore, it has realized the purpose of "culture by teaching, culture by administration, culture by service, and culture by circumstance".
