After the 1980s, computers have had great influence on education. The presentation of the concept of information technology course integration relates closely to the development of computer education and the advancing of computer culture. With the rapid development of information technology, computers are found to haveparticularity to play many kinds of roles——studying objects, contents, studying tools,circumstance, teachers, and companions. With regard to it, people begin to consider integrating information technology and all the aspects of the courses.The new outline of the elementary school English course clearly points out: teachers should stimulate and foster students' studying interest, in order to convey the communicational function of the language to a larger extent (to pay more attention to students' communication abilities in listening, speaking, reading, and writing) and to convey its social function (to analyze and deal with the massive information acquired from communications so as to know the society, develop their thinking and develop their practicing abilities and creativity). From this we can see the importance of fostering and developing students' abilities of listening, speaking, reading, and writing, whereas teachers always have to spend a lot of time and energy to improve these abilities. The new textbooks require students to absorb, digest, analyze, deal with and respond the massive information within a short period of time. Especially in reading course, teachers should foster these abilities, while students gain some language knowledge, which involves in the courses new technologies in education science. And accordingly, the integration of information technology and English course rises to a more important place.In this regard, this thesis researches and discusses the integration means of information technology and elementary school English course, based on analysis of the fundamental integration means in the perspective of its concept, and by means of case analysis, summarizes the problems of which we should take care in the process of the integration.
