Change Of Urban Society: Community Differentiation And Differentiation Of Interest Colony

The current academic research' emphasis on social change is that what influences market economy brings to the social classes and the social stratum structure in China, it discloses interest colonies begin to differentiate in the social reforming time. On the base of these existing research results, focused on community the thesis further studies what the changes the differentiation of interest colony brings to community's type, the demand structure and the spatial structure of urban society, it will take convenient for us to have a clearer understanding on the change in a deeper level. The basic concepts of the thesis as follows: the differentiation of interest colony results in community the differentiation, urban community begins to transform from the sole type to diverse communities, according to the income they can be divided into three kinds of communities: high income community, medium income community and low income community. At the same time, interest colony's the differentiation also brings changes to demand structure of community, there exist multiplicities and differences among high income community, medium income community and low income community. Finally, the differentiation of interest colony and the community differentiation have resulted in urban social space changes, "three regions"of urban spatial structure are forming gradually.The first section of the thesis elaborates that the sole system of ownership structure and the sole assignment way has caused the simplification of urban social structure under the planned economy system. There is only "Danwei" and "non- Danwei" discrimination among people In the whole urban society, differences of members in the same company is very small, that is interest colony of urban society is very simple. Corresponding with the sole interest colony the community structure of city is also simple, forming the community pattern of Danwei community primarily and neighbor community for auxiliary.The second section analyzes that market economy causes the great change of urban society, multiple kinds of ownership systems and multiple kinds of assignments way bring the differentiation of interest colonies inevitably. Under the condition, high income colony, medium income colony and low income colony start to differentiate fast in cities .At the same time, the differentiation of interest colony results in the appearance ofthree kinds of communities: high income community, medium income community and low income community. This thesis elaborated emphatically the differentiation and distribution of high income colony, medium income colony and low income colony and high income community, medium income community and low income community in Wuhan.The third section mainly elaborates the demands of community inhabitant not only multiply, but also exist differences under market economy condition. It manifests: there are differences among different interest colonies (high income colony, medium income colony and low income colony) and different community (high income community, medium income community and low income community). The thesis analyzes emphatically the economy and social factors that affect the demand structures, including income, the differences of community nature, NGOs' growth condition of community, government policy, living customs, and so on.The fourth section analyzes the interest colony the differentiation and community the differentiation influence the evolution of city social space. Take Wuhan for example, it elaborates the the differentiation of the city social space in Wuhan from the spatial distributions of population density, special colonies, old and young people, household register structure. It discloses that it begins to form "three regions" the spatial structure non-regularly gradually in Wuhan. It analyzes economy, politics, social and inhabitant moves behavior pattern factors which influence the evolution of city social space.The last section makes a discussion on the developmental tendency of urban community structure and the spatial structure in China today. The thesis consider that urban community will differentiates continuously in some years, at the same time it will be the unceasing conformity process. The urban social spatial structure begins to transform from single center and compacted structure to multi- centers and disperse urban spatial structure, at the same time urban social space realizes reorganizing through old city transformation and metropolis extension.
