At the end of 20th century, the heated discussion concerning Chinese language makes everybody worry about the Chinese language subject. Encountering this public criticism, we can easily find that the low efficiency, blindness and out-of–order in Chinese language teaching in the middle schools exposed clearly before us. Under the above circumstance, the"sense of language"issue has been put forward for a second time and"sense of language teaching"attracts much attention. The sense of language is the core of the language teaching, but at present the language teaching, which is unstable, just occupies a small portion in teaching of the middle schools. Sense of language, even language teaching, does play an independent role in teaching of middle school. As the native language subject, Chinese language teaching is the focus task of language teaching in middle schools. Similarly, as the core of language teaching, sense of language is supposed to occupy the important role in Chinese language teaching in middle schools. Teachers should also emphasize the sense of language teaching in teaching practices. This is a new means to improve the present low-efficiency Chinese language teaching in middle school.In this thesis, I start with the actuality and theoretical layer and then comprehensively analyze the sense of language and sense of language teaching and in the end answer"how to cultivate and drill the sense of language"question in the practical level. This thesis mainly consists of"the introduction of the sense of language","connotations and features of the sense of language","analysis of position and catalogues of the sense of language","the terms of the production of the sense of language"and"how to cultivate and drill the sense of language". All in all, the sense of language is the ever-lasing and ever-discussed topic for studies in Chinese language teaching.
