We made an investigation through questionnaires and literature analysis to study the level of middle school teachers'subjective well-being (SWB) and to find some factors which are influential to middle school teachers'SWB. The investigation showed that:(1) On the whole, middle school teachers had a moderate level of SWB. It was polarized terribly. From the specific view, middle school teachers gained stronger sense of happiness when they have dealing with students and colleagues; they gained moderate sense of happiness from the aspects of professional work itself, schools and leaders and social support; besides, they seldom gained sense of happiness from the aspect of earning and welfare. To enhance the economic status and social status of middle school teachers is essential to strengthen their SWB.(2)There were significant differences in SWB between middle school teachers in urban and rural areas. The SWB of rural middle school teachers was stronger than teachers in urban areas. Rural teachers gained stronger sense of happiness than urban teachers from the aspects of professional work itself, schools and leaders, earning and welfare, social support and have dealing with colleagues; besides, urban teachers gained stronger sense of happiness just when they have dealing with students.(3) There were no significant differences in SWB between middle school...
