Content: The new curriculum reform of basic education has brought new challenge to the junior primary and middle school Chinese teachers. The teachers' life style of classroom will be changed thoroughly. With the change of students' study way, teachers should reconstruct their own teaching way. The teacher is the key factor in implementing quality education. With the reform of basic educational curriculums, the Chinese teachers in primary and middle schools are required to keep up with social development, change their educational concepts and change their roles as quick as possible. They should not any help promote, conduct and cultivate students' development instead of passing on knowledge only, but also be the learner of it. They should establish a parternership with the students instead of acting for their parents. They should create and research the curriculums instead of merely using and carrying them out. They should adjust and cultivate the students well-being psychology, conduit and encourage their free self-development instead of controlling and teaching with rigor. They should innovate the knowledge instead of passing it on only.However, due to the impacts of such factors as society, school and family, there are still some problems in the practice of education and teaching. The way in which teachers have adapted themselves to modern education is not the same as society expectations. In the process of identifying, accepting and playing new roles, teachers have the problems of psychological adaptation and conflict, which will be reflected in their educational concepts and teaching practices.Taking the above factor as the basis of research, the questionnaires received from the teachers in primary and junior middle schools, according to the questionnaires, and with the help of interview, observation and so on, we took on investigation and analysis on the state and limiting factors of teachers role changes in a new curriculum setting.
